Earlier today, the jury in the trial of Casey Anthony returned a “Not Guilty” verdict.
Were they correct? Or, did Casey Anthony actually murder her 2-year old Caylee? Is this the miscarriage of justice that so many are claiming in the social media?
I am not in a position to render a “righteous judgment”* so I will leave that duty to the One who knows the TRUTH in every case. I wonder about those who are so vocal in their judgment.
Whatever happened – and who ever may be guilty – a terrible tragedy has occurred.
- A beautiful little girl had her life ended and – for 6 months – was not even given the right to a proper burial.
- A mother has lost her child. She also lost 3 years of her life in prison. She will continue to suffer the accusations of self-styled judges.
- A family has been destroyed by accusations of the most painful kind.
- A slew of other issues that are beyond our comprehension.
I don’t have the answers to the questions of guilt and judgment. However, I wrote an article a few weeks ago that may help understand these things – Every person WILL give account! Check it out and leave a comment about what YOU think…
Added July 6: Today, Charisma Mag’s J. Lee Grady published an article on this same subject. I recommend it http://www.charismamag.com/index.php/fire-in-my-bones/31459-justice-judgmentalism-and-the-casey-anthony-verdict
*Note: Righteous judgment can only be rendered when the judge has ALL the facts in a matter. Since I do not have all the facts (and neither does any other human), we should leave such judgement to the eternal Judge.
